telescope 101 - this section has lots of help for the beginner. subject include polar alignment, magnification, telescope mounts, telescope selection and types, etc.

audio-video - lessons and projects in audio and video format. learn how to navigate the night sky while using a free star map program. there are some good tips in this section.

planets 202 - here is a interactive program that will show the locations of planet's moons, like jupiter or saturn. this is great when you are planning an observing session.
